Ragged Hole was born in the foothills of North Carolina, where hardwood forests meet generations-old machining know-how. From our shop in Hickory, we design and hand-build rimfire rifles that live up to the name: shot after shot landing into a single, "ragged" hole. Every barreled action, stock, and trigger we fit is the result of hours at the bench, countless range tests, and an uncompromising insistence on repeatable precision.

As a federally licensed dealer and manufacturer (FFL), we handle each build with the care and accountability the gun industry demands. That starts with sourcing American-made barrels, aircraft-grade alloys, and rugged composites, then mating them with tuning techniques refined through years of small-bore competition. Whether you’re chasing a perfect card at the benchrest line, dialing in steel-challenge splits, or paging through a squirrel-hunting logbook, a Ragged Hole rifle is built to feel familiar on day one and trusted for decades.

We know that great rifles deserve thoughtful support gear, so we machine accessories in-house and partner with select U.S. fabricators for items we don’t make ourselves. From suppressor-ready threaded muzzles to bolt-on arca rails and minimalist pack-rifle stocks, our add-ons follow the same rule as our guns: no gimmicks, just measurable performance gains.

Finally, we’re proud North Carolinians who stand behind our work. If something isn’t right, you’ll talk to the builder who worked on your rifle—not a call center. Drop by the shop, swap stories at the local range, or give us a call. Precision may start at the lathe, but at Ragged Hole it ends with customers who trust us enough to shoot the feathers off a fly—again and again.
